Tips for Planning a Girl’s Night In

Nights out with the girls are a great way to unwind and have a laugh, but sometimes, a night in can be just as fun, especially if you plan ahead.

Keep scrolling if you’re looking for tips on hosting your girls’ nights in one to remember this year.

Themed Dinner Party

Organising a theme is a great way to have a dinner party. For example, you could organise a theme where each guest contributes a dish related to Italian cuisine, 90s nostalgia, or maybe a new kind of food you’ve all talked about trying.

If you’re feeling nostalgic for the 1990s and 2000s, films like Mamma Mia, Four Weddings and a Funeral, and Pretty Woman are perfect additions to your themed party. You could even get the girls dressed like Friends characters to commit to the Central Perk vibe fully.

Engaging Games Night

Interactive games are perfect for bonding on a night in. Classic board games like Monopoly and more PG-18 alternatives like Cards Against Humanity are always a good time. Truth or dare is another classic that’s sure to take the night to the next level and reveal some hidden secrets.

Mobile slots can add a modern twist to your night in, giving you all a chance to test your luck. You never know – one of you could hit the jackpot and win big.

DIY Spa Experience

For a more chill night, transform your home into a serene spa by setting up stations for facials, manicures, and massages. Stock the beauty bar with pampering essentials like nail polish and salt scrubs. Add carnation or daisy flower petals to softening foot soaks made from French clay and baking soda for the ultimate DIY pedicure.

Homemade or store-bought beauty products can both be effective on a sap night. Remember to include plenty of spa-scented candles to set the mood of relaxation and self-care.

Creative Craft Session

Collective craft projects will allow everyone to express their creative side and take home tangible mementoes. If your TikTok feed is full of craft night ideas you’ve been putting off, ditch wine night and pick up some supplies instead.

Creating DIY picture frames is a practical way to frame photos of you and the girls. You can make it as elaborate as you want with charms and bead decorations, or keep it simple with an elegant coat of paint. Be sure to have enough frames, glue, and paint on hand, and print off the photos before so everyone can leave with the finished product.

Alternatively, mimicking stained glass is surprisingly easy. Outline designs on glass and fill in with translucent paints for a colourful, light-catching effect. You could even refresh your old sweatshirts together. Use a hot iron to adhere patches of your favourite emojis or designs and see how everyone’s creations turn out.
