A little while ago Amphora Aromatics sent me a product from their new AA Skincare range to try out – a 250ml bottle of Rosemary, Sage & Burdock Shower & Bath Gel. Amphora Aromatics are one of the UK’s biggest suppliers of Pure Essential Oils and Aromatherapy Sundries, and the new AA Skincare range sees them branching out into toiletries. Everything they sell is Vegan friendly, cruelty free, paraben free, and contains no artificial flavours or colours.
The full range of plant-inspired shampoos, conditioners, and shower & bath gels that are available on their website are listed below:
All of the scents are packed with essential oils and Ayurvedic herb powders to boost skin health. Ayurvedic medicine (also known as Ayurveda) is one of the world’s oldest holistic (whole-body) healing systems, developed thousands of years ago in India. It is based on the belief that health and wellness depend on a delicate balance between the mind, body, and spirit.
I think if I had have had the option, I wouldn’t have chosen Rosemary, Sage & Burdock for myself (they were sent at random). However, I was pleasantly surprised upon opening and smelling it. The scent is beautiful and rich without being overpowering, and it instantly seemed very luxurious. Apparently, the Rosemary and Sage essential oils work with calcium-rich Burdock to gently cleanse and nourish skin, giving it an antioxidant boost. Extra ingredients include: Basil oil, which helps stimulate circulation, and Rose Geranium which helps protect the skin. I was quite pleased to find out that the shampoo version of this flavour actually won an award in July 2016: “The Green Parent Natural Beauty Gold Award“, so I’m in good company!
The shower & bath gel is completely clear which surprised me initially, I expected it to be more of a translucent creamy gel – perhaps due the packaging? But regardless, this makes no difference to the high quality of the product, perhaps the bubbles aren’t as bubbly as some other bath gel, but it creates a lovely rich lather on damp skin.
I would certainly purchase from AA Skincare in the future – the £5.94 price tag is quite reasonable. I do think it would be nice if they did a little discount when buying all three products in the same scent, for example – it could be lovely to give someone as a gift.

Big thanks to Amphora Aromatics for sending me this to try out!
This product was sent to me free of charge in exchange for a review, but this has not affected my opinion of the product.
